One Little Word Blog Hop

Welcome to my post for Big Picture Classes' One Little Word Blog Hop!

This is my third year of having a word to accompany me through life. For the past two years, my words (connect and gentle) came quite easily to me. They presented themselves and off we went. My experience this year has been different. I struggled to find the "right" word. The options just did not feel right to me.

Originally, I picked "alive" but as I used it, I found we were just not clicking. I felt that alive made me feel that I was not living a full life or not engaged in life. That is not how I currently think of myself. "Be" seems to be a better fit. I like the idea of taking the year to be comfortable in my own skin, adjust to changes in our extended family, and just being.

To be honest, I was very intimidated by February's prompt. I do not consider myself to be particularly artsy or creative. I kept putting off the assignment. To get over my fear of the project, I decided to go with a digital approach. I searched Pinterest's "Everything" board and selected images that spoke to me. I did not select those pictures that I liked and wondered if I should use it. I went with the photos that said "Wow". Once I started placing the photos on my page, I realized how much I really love my inspiration board. It really is "me".

Enjoy!
