Big Pictures Classes has changed me. The scrapbook, photography and journaling classes have improved the way I look at life and tell our stories through my layouts.
Currently, I am enrolled in Amy Sorensen's Write Now course. The focus is improving one's journaling. Each day, a writing prompt is sent. I thought it would be fun to share some of my writings with you.
The directions are to look at the prompt and think about it for one minute, trying only to focus on the topic and nothing else. Then, write for four full minutes and allow oneself to go where ever the imagination takes you. The process has been quite fascinating.
Today's Prompt is "Running Water" -
Ocean waves hitting the beach are peaceful. A rambling brook is peaceful. Waves lapping on the shores of Lake Michigan are peaceful. A running fountain in someone's backyard, a fountain in a doctor's office, the ones in people's houses that are supposed to be calming - they drive me crazy. My body just can not handle those supposed tranquil sounds. Those little monuments and artificial waterfalls make me want to pee. Immediately. And badly. I can not pee on demand. It does not help to run the water in the sink when I need to give a urine sample. But, walk into a room with a fountain, and, BOOM - I NEED to go!
